Sumo Wrestler Marathon Runner!

A 406 pound man (Sumo Wrestler) will become the worlds heaviest man to run a marathon... if he succeeds! Kelly Gneiting, a sumo wrestler from Arizona, will secure the official world record if he completes the Los Angeles marathon in on Sunday.

This man who is 40 said he wanted to run the 26-mile race as an inspiration to "people who are overweight, have low self-esteem and think they can't achieve things". He said he is big with a big self esteem and he is trying to run his marathon in less then 9 hours. The thing is, I don't think he can run it at all! But I hope I'm wrong!

If I Were You...

I read a classic short story by L. Ron Hubbard called If I Were You. L Ron Hubbard was a science fiction author and fantasy writer who was often referred to as one of the most famous sci-fi writers in American Literature. From a young age, his mother was amazed at the things he liked to read. He would read about philosophy and scientifically complicated things. I would think he had a very amazing imagination too! My favorite quote by him is, “I have seen life from the top down and the bottom up. I know how it looks both ways. And I know there is wisdom and that there is hope.”

The book If I Were You is about a circus midget named Little Tom Little. He is the king of midgets, loved by crowds. The thing is he doesn't want to be just a circus star... he wants to be the ringmaster! Trouble begins when he inherits a set of books showing him the secret of switching bodies. When he switches bodies with the ringmaster, he finds out life as Schmidt, the ringmaster, isn't as good as he thinks it is!

I thought this book was surprisingly really good! It was fast paced and there was never a boring part. He was either switching bodies, getting in trouble, or in a life or death situation! I have to admit Little Tom Little is a coward though! I didn't think I'd like reading sci-fi books but after reading this one, it wasn't so bad and I think it was a good first sci-fi book to read. If you're looking for something interesting, I'd definitely go with: If I Were You.

World's Oldest Lady!

Say what now?! She's how old?!? Besse Cooper, a great-great-grandmother from Georgia, (the one in the U.S.A not Russia :) has been officially named as the world's oldest living person at 114 years and six months! I didn't know you could live that long! Since she was born in 1896, Besse has seen 21 different presidents! She started with Grover Cleveland and now she's looking at Barack Obama! She's probably saying in her head, "A BLACK PRESIDENT?!?!?!?!? WHA?!?!? She's also lived through two world wars and the great depression! Now that's impressive...

World's Most Expensive Dog

A Red Tibetan Mastiff puppy has become the world's most expensive dog after being sold for almost $1 million!!! For a dog!

Tibetan Mastiffs are huge and fierce guard dogs from what I've seen! Experts say they are thought to be one of the world's oldest breeds, and legend has it that both Genghis Khan and Lord Buddha kept them! FAMOUS PEOPLE!!!

The dogs are a pure "Chinese" breed and they are rarely found outside Tibet, giving them a trait that other dogs don't have! I think that has to be the reason they cost so much! The fact that thet they are rarely found outside of Tibet, they are nice, friendly, yet at the same time guard dogs! Like my dog! Minus the Tibet part... could I make 1 million dollars off my lab - chow? Not that I would sell him!

1.8 Microseconds Gone!

According to Space.com and other sources, the massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake off the eastern coast of Japan was so big, it affected the earth's rotation and also shifted the earth's axis by 4 inches!!! Richard Gross, a NASA employee or geophysicist, if you don't know what that means check the wikipedia page like I did, says the tremor accelerated the earth's spin, shortening its 24-hour day by 1.8 microseconds! Thanks, Japan, now I'm losing sleep!!!! I need all the beauty sleep I can get...

Amazing Photographs!

Dang yo! This man named Alan Sailer creates these epic pictures by blasting food and ornaments with a rifle and capturing the impact on a camera! He built this amazing camera set up in his garage!!! The flash is triggered when the pellet from an air rifle passes through a laser beam. Man, that must have cost a bundle! All I can say is these are amazing photographs! Over three years Alan has photographed thousands of exploding objects from fruit and vegetables to ornaments and make-up. Thousands, people!!! I was thinking about it and I've decided that his style of photography isn't very safe! What if a stray bullet riccochets and hits him!? Ooooh! Talk about sting!

Animal Invasion

Well, it's a good thing floods don't happen in Parauapebas, Brazil every day. Especially floods where the water level rises so high inside homes that when it goes it out it leaves... little presents behind. That's what this mom discovered when, the day after a devastating flood, she went to clean up her house. That's when she found her kid playing with something behind the couch. Being a good mom, I assume, she went to see what it was. But it wasn't a toy... it turned out to be an alligator!!! The amazing thing was the boy was petting this 5 foot long alligator! She immediately grabbed her son away and ran to call firefighters. Boy, that mom was lucky this reptile wasn't in the mood for a meal! If he was hungry, he could have eaten the little boy! Easily! Thankfully, firefighters trapped the alligator and took it to a nearby environmental preserve where they set it free.

Indian Man With 39 Wives!

A 66-year-old man in has 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren, all living under one roof! I can't imagine that! I get annoyed when more then 10 people get in my house! I mean 181 people?! Sheesh! They all live in a four storied building with 100 rooms! That's amazing!

The man, Ziona Chana said, "I once married 10 women in one year."

His wives share a dormitory near his private bedroom and locals said he likes to have seven or eight of them by his side at all times. This man's a playa! I wonder if he even remembers all their names! The sons and their wives and all their children live in different rooms in the same building, but share a common kitchen.

The only thing I wouldn't be able to put up with if I lived with this man is the LABOR! The wives take turns cooking, while his daughters clean the house and do washing. The men do OUTDOOR jobs like farming and taking care of livestock. Phew! I don't know if I could do that! I get tired when I walk to school! Much less do farming and taking care of animals! Well Ziona, I wish you the best taking care of your GROWING family!

Super Bowl... ads!

Okay, so yes I admit it, I'm watching the Superbowl. The thing is I don't know if I'm watching it because I like football! I think it's because I like the Super Bowl ads! They are sooo funny! I love them! My favorite would have to be this one. I don't know why I like the Super Bowl ads so much! I think it's because they have to be extra entertaining because so many people will be watching the Super Bowl! I wonder how many other people watch the Super Bowl for the ads...

SnowCastle!!!

So there is this cartoon-themed SnowCastle which is the biggest snow fort in the world and is rebuilt each winter... It's really amazing and I would love to stay there! I hope it's still going to be built in about 10 years! It looks amazing!

I can just picture myself sleeping in there... A whole "CASTLE" made of snow! It'll be just like the movies! The thing is, I like cartoons and there are cartoons everywhere in this fort! If I go there when I am older, I'll remember all the good times I had as a kid! In some of the pictures they have Spongebob, Manny from Ice Age, Garfield, The Simpons, Spiderman and so much more! This thing has to be expensive though... and to think that it just melts when Winter ends, all that hard work and awesomeness gone for another 3 seasons... I really sincerely do hope I visit the Snow Castle one day!

Ambam, the Gorilla-Man

This gorilla's a celebrity now!!! This video was posted just the other day and has over 250,000 views! I do have to admit that gorilla, Ambam, is pretty amazing!

The gorilla keeper, Phil Ridges, said: "Ambam’s father, Bitam, used to display the same behaviour if he had handfuls of food to carry."

Him and his father are awesome then! I want a gorilla now! One that can stand up like that and get food for me :) The thing that was the most funny to me though was he was just strolling around Port Lympne Wild Animal Park like nothing he was doing was amazing! I mean he must have seen that the other gorilla's were not doing it and he had an amazing talent but no! I know that's a lot for a gorilla to think through... but hey, we were supposed to have evolved from them - that means we used to walk on all fours like gorillas at one point, right? Oh, my God. Maybe we're seeing evolution happening right before our very eyes...

What kind of Tacos?!?

A Tucson taco restaurant already has served up python, alligator, elk, kangaroo, rattlesnake and turtle!!! Next on the menu will be lion meat. I didn't think anyone would even eat this type of food, but apparently I was wrong because a few curious customers have already made reservations! I thought this was illegal but the Food and Drug Administration said that lion and other meat can be sold as long at the species isn't endangered even though I think that's really wrong! The owners of the restaurant said they try anything they can get their hands on! Next who knows what it'll be! Maybe a jellyfish taco? :)

Geezer Bandit!

Sure they gave him a nice funny name, but this is serious business. There is an "elderly" thief, who is nicknamed the Geezer Bandit. He is being hunted by police in California after he pulled off his thirteenth bank robbery! Who knew an old man could be such a criminal! He's 70+!

The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man! He has escaped police and authorities despite being pictured clearly on footage! How hard is it to catch an old man, people?!? On Friday afternoon he wore his standard outfit - dark glasses, a blazer, dark trousers and a hat, when he robbed a branch of Bank of America in Santa Barbara after threatening a cashier with a pistol! This guys no joke! I just want to know where all the money's going...

Babies Wrapped Up In What?

Talk about die hard Steeler fans?!?! I guess they start 'em young up in Pittsburgh! A hospital in Pittsburgh is wrapping each newborn in a Terrible Towel as part of a celebration of the Steelers playing in Super Bowl XLV! Now I'm not that interested in football, but apparently these people are!!! St. Clair Hospital started the tradition when the Steelers last made it to the Super Bowl and decided to continue this year!

One of the employees in the hospital said, "They're born Steelers fans here in Pittsburgh!" I can see that! The only person that wouldn't be able to come to that conclusion would be a blind person! Even babies can figure that out! Sure I think it's a cute idea and I guess it's those Terrible Towels will be hanging proudly in those family's houses for years to come... maybe this idea isn't so bad after all...

Boy Dunks Himself!

Now this is something you don't see every day! A boy not only dunking the ball, but dunking himself! I noticed a lot of things about this video! For one, this guy made three balls in one shot! Does that count as 6 points? :) By the way, as this guy was accidentally dunking himself, I noticed that the next guy to dunk doesn't slow down or anything, he just keeps on trucking like nothing is happening! What an inconsiderate fool! Also, in the video at 21 seconds when it's going in slow motion, as he goes in the hoop, you can see everyone's hands go up to their mouths as they gasp! I did the same just to try and fit in! One last thing I noticed was 13 seconds into the video when the guy goes through the hoop, a little boy in the top right hand corner throws his hands up in celebration! Oh, I have a detective eye :)

He Fell How Far?!?

A climber named Adam Potter fell ONE THOUSAND FEET down a mountain and was found standing up reading a map by rescuers. ONE THOUSAND FEET, PEOPLE! THIS GUY IS SUPER HARDCORE! Adam had just reached the summit of the 3,589ft Sgurr Choinnich Mor, when he lost his footing!!! Can you imagine the adrenaline of falling?!? I would have died before I hit the ground from a heart attack! He is recovering in the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, where he was described as "doing fine"!!! The thing that amazed me so much was the crew found him standing up and reading his map! CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?! You fall 1,000 feet, survive, then just stand up and pull out your map? You can't get much intense than that!

Pale Kid Raps Fast!

This kid isn't even a professional rapper and he's better then all of the rappers out there! Personally I don't like rap but this was amazing! I can't stop watching it! Probably 1,000 of those 3 million views are mine! If he gets this on iTunes I would so buy it! By the way, I can't believe he burped while rapping! That's called Comedy Rap right there! I laughed when I saw it! I know one thing! I wouldn't wanna argue with this kid! I wouldn't be able to get a word in! Look at him go! I think I really need help. I can't stop pressing replay! When I first saw this I thought it was Michael Cera! I was like So is this what Michael Cera does in his spare time?! Hah hah. I crack myself up.

Final Exams!

So today I had to take two final exams to see what I learned this semester. Thank God... BOTH OF THEM WERE SUPER EASY! We had two hours to do both exams and in both tests, the class and I finished in about 20 minutes! I took an English exam which was about two stories we read earlier in the school year and then 10 questions about the parts of speech! I also took a music exam and since I play piano already it was super easy! We had to play one level one song - I'm on level four - and write an essay about what we learned in the class! The thing is I didn't learn anything in that class! Like I said... I play piano already! But still, I acted like I knew nothing in the essay to make the teacher feel good about himself, and the truth is, if I didn't know how to play piano I would have learned a bunch from that class! I hope at the end of next semester my exams will be as easy as they were this time around!

Singapore School Uses What?

Whoa, I wish my school would do this! That would be so awesome! This school in Singapore uses the iPad instead of textbooks! That sounds like a good idea to me! Acting like reading in class when I could be playing a game! :D

Nanyang Girls High School spent over $100,000 to buy iPads for students and teachers! I'm assuming this is a private school because in my school we don't even get to take the laptops home anymore... But these kids get to take the iPads home! Grrr... I'm jealous. They can use the internet in class to download books and material for the class. They can take notes on the iPad. My brother, who's in college, told me a girl in his class does that! The principle and teachers of the school said that it's working out really well! I don't see why it wouldn't! THE KIDS GET AN IPAD! WHO WOULD BE COMPLAININ'?!?

Comcast and NBC Together???

Woah ho ho! Comcast is playing with the big boys now! The Federal Communications Commission is allowing Comcast to merge with the country's largest CABLE company! NBC TELEVISION NETWORK! Now I can't see why the FCC would do that... whenever I'm just sitting at home, randomly my Comcast internet will go out! That means the phone will go out too since the internet and phone are both powered by Comcast! That's not very convient now is it! If Comcast suffers something so will NBC and so will the people watching NBC! I just think that they should allow NBC to merge with someone or something more reliable! My dog is more reliable then Comcast! If I gave him a rope and I was hanging off a cliff and he was holding the rope, he would be able to pull me up because he knows he'll get a bone! With Comcast they would just let go randomly and when they get complaints say, "OH WE'RE WORKING ON SOMETHING IN THE AREA. IT'LL BE BACK SHORTLY." -2 Weeks Later- Internet comes back!
